Rebecca A. Bernstein
Rebecca Bernstein focuses her practice on providing a broad-range of transactional services to freelancers, entrepreneurs, artists, and small to mid-size companies. Her practice includes: employment law (including employee handbooks, employment agreements, termination releases, and in-house trainings); intellectual property (trademark and copyright filings, EULA’s, SaaS agreements, Terms of Service and Privacy Policies, talent releases, and influencer agreements); employment-based immigration petitions and transfers (O-1, H-1B, E-3 and EB-1); social-media, technology and advertising best practices; privacy compliance; and commercial real estate. She enjoys working closely with companies to help them proactively prevent legal problems and creatively find solutions that fit their unique business models.
Rebecca received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School (cum laude) with a concentration in information law and intellectual property. She was also a Health Law Fellow and a member of Brooklyn Law’s Incubator and Policy Clinic, where she worked with a wide variety of startups on intellectual property and privacy issues. Prior to law school Rebecca was the blog editor for Oxford University Press for four years. She holds a B.A. from Emory University.
Following law school Rebecca was the David Berg Law and Aging Fellow at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Center for Elder Abuse at the Riverdale Hebrew Home and worked for several years at a boutique New York City firm before joining M&D.
